The Champions League group stages enter Matchday 5 on Tuesday, November 27, as clubs look to secure their places in the knockout stage of the competition.

Though Manchester City have secured their passage through and Arsenal have all but done the same to follow, things are a little tougher for Manchester United and Newcastle, who both sit precariously outside of those fated two qualification spots. This week is a pivotal one for both Uniteds, who can take giant strides with a win each in Europe – both away in cauldrons of Galatasaray and PSG respectively.

Real Madrid return with Jude Bellingham fresh from recovering from a shoulder problem, while Barcelona are very nearly through to a UCL last-16 after failing to do so for the last two seasons under Xavi.

Elsewhere, Celtic have a mountain to climb. They head to Lazio for a defining fixture in this season's European journey for them.

TNT Sports currently holds the exclusive broadcasting rights of the Champions League in the UK, though there are alternative options elsewhere in Europe to watch matches for free.

VPN guide

Use a VPN to watch the Champions League from outside your country

If you’re out of the country for some Champions League fixtures, then annoyingly your domestic on-demand services won’t work – the broadcaster knows where you are because of your IP address (boo!). You'll be blocked from watching it, which is not ideal if you’ve paid up for a subscription and still want to catch the action without resorting to illegal feeds you’ve found on Reddit.

But assistance is on hand. To get around that, all you have to do is get a Virtual Private Network (VPN), assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs. A VPN creates a private connection between your device and t'internet, meaning the service can’t work out where you are and won't automatically block the service you've paid for. All the info going between is entirely encrypted – and that's a result.

There are plenty of good-value options out there, including:
